I am back with the second part of The Polished Hippy's 2018 Favorites! This post covers brands starting with letters D to L. I will warn you it is photo heavy and not minimalist in the least! Now, these are not all the polishes I loved in 2018, just ones that were reviewed on the blog and I have pictures of. Click the name of the polish in bold to check out my original review! I still have two posts to go because I could not restrain myself, haha. Let's start with this one.
*polishes both sent for review and purchased*
Don Deeva Nyx Myx is a thermal with the green "unicorn pee" sister pigment. It has such a nice formula and I love the gray-green tone of it. It was released for the January 2019 Polish Pickup.DRK Nails Miga Sua Loka is one of those jelly microflake holos that I love! DRK, a Brazilian brand, has some amazing effect polishes. I purchased mine through the new indie retailer Psyche's Beau, who is offering some awesome Brazilian and other overseas brands that are hard to get in the US. I'm so glad to be able to grab them!
Ellagee Truly Scrumptious was from the February 2018 Polish Pickup. I am still wild for strong scattered holos and you don't see them a lot anymore. This one had a perfect, shiny formula.
Emily de Molly Sugar Coated Memories was also from Feburary 2018 Polish Pickup. I am always a sucker for jelly reds. The flakes and holo glitter in this make it sparkle like crazy.
Envy Lacquer Peach Bellini was from the Indie Shop Atlanta. The color is so pretty and the subtle shift adds real richness to it.
Essie Blue-tiful Horizon 771 was from the Desert Mirage Collection. The dusky blue and shifting shimmer makes it glow like it was airbrushed on my nails! This is one of my favorite Essies of all time.
Ever After Polish The Land of Amusements was from The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Collection. The brown is so lovely and glitter provides tons of flash but lies completely flat. Love!
Fair Maiden Polish Cosmic Confection was from the February Polish Pickup. The shift from a green-toned blue to indigo is really unique and makes the polish stand out to me.
Fanchromatic Nails The Pie Hole was from the February Polish Pickup. Detailed shimmers like this are so fun and the shift adds even more depth.
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Mermaid Candy was from the February Polish Pickup. This polish is full of bling but has a great formula and isn't bumpy!
Grace-full Nail Polish Magical Muses from the August Polish Pickup is one of my favorite thermals of the year! The fuchsia- plum shift is enhanced even more by the shifting shimmer.
Great Lakes Lacquer To the Very Fires of Mordor came out with the June Hella Handmade Creations release. It has such holo flake sparkle and fire from the shimmer. It glows on the nails in a way photos can't even capture.
Heather's Hues Lose Your Blues was from the August Polish Pickup. I am a sucker for indigo blues and the metallic sheen on this one makes it extra pretty.
Illyrian Polish Sailor Jupiter was from the November Fandom Flakies Box. Illyrian does some of the best holo flake jellies and I really loved this particular shade of green.
Indie Lacquer Someone Like Blue is from the brand's Volume 4 release. The shifting glow on it is incredible - it looks magic on the nails.
Indie Polish by Patty Lopes Jacob is one of the most metallic, reflective multichrome holos I have ever seen. I don't know why it is so crazy vibrant, but it is incredible! This brand is carried by Psyche's Beau and I bought a ton of them in the last year.
Jior Couture Nail Polish Cosmic Glazed was from the February Polish Pickup. I will never stop loving strong multichrome holos and this was a delight to wear!
Kathleen & Co Marshmallows Only was from the Feburary Polish Pickup. It is a funtopper that combines holo shreds and shifting glitters for a really nice, delicate effect. I have also been a big fan of the brand's rich shimmers and magnetics in the past year.
KBShimmer Rock This Way is from the February Polish Pickup. I am always a fan of holo microflakes and I really like the vibrancy of this one!
Kissing Toad Lacquer Keeps It Poppin' (now rebranded Siren of the Sea) is from the February Polish Pickup. This was a staple pedi color for me this summer and works as a matte or with top coat. It is a nice, delicate pink shade that suits my skintone.
Lakur Enhanced Colour by Londontown Opal was from their Summer 2018 Collection. I really like the smoky speckled look of the multichrome shimmers!
Le Polish Fauna was from the Polish Con New York Duo. I like this shade of magenta a lot and it had a wonderful formula.
Leesha's Lacquer Yeah Sure, You Betcha was the Polish Con Minneapolis Exclusive. I will always like light-base multichrome flake polishes and the extra-large flakes in this make it look like exotic stone!
I will be back next time with my picks from brands starting with L to P. It is so fun looking back at the year in review! Do you see any you love or bought here?
