Colores de Carol has a
Part 2 of her
This Is the 80s Collection that involves matte microglitters in a clear base.
Part 1 had similar glitters in white and other pastel creme-jelly bases, and you can see them on my blog
here. I am wild for these kind of polishes because they remind me of when I first discovered indies in 2011-2012 and matte microglitters were all the rage! I would collect any polish I could find with these sorts of glitters. Probably the most famous one of this type was
Nail-Venturous Floam, which is long gone.
This Is the 80s Part 2 is intended to be a topper and is slightly less dense than some polishes of this type, but since there were already plenty of other pics showing them layered over base colors in one or two coats, in the spirit of going retro I wanted to layer them to opacity. They did quite nicely at that in three or four coats! While you can see a tiny bit of my nail underneath in my close-up images, in real life they look pretty opaque. You can grab these for
$11 each or $60 for all six. You can also get
