The Polished Hippy's Polish Lab: Spectraflair4u Red/Pink Pearl Pigments Swatches and Review

It's time for the next installment of polish-making supply reviews! This episode will feature Red/Pink Pearl Pigments from Spectraflair4u. It took me a while as a polish maker to graduate to using micas - I was very overwhelmed with the variety and was not sure what effects each kind would have. After I had gained some comfort with using lake pigment bases I started introducing micas into my repertoire. Like last time, I will first show each pigment on its own then talk about them in the context of full polishes. Here we go...

derma e Firming DMAE Eye Lift and More at Target! Information and Review

It's getting to that time of year when my skin could use a pick-me-up. It's about 10 degrees outside and the wind is howling - let's just say harsh skin conditions ahead!

I'm always up for trying new things, and love nothing more than wandering through the aisles of Target when I have the chance to find new and interesting beauty treats. It is always a fun adventure since I live in a rural area and Target provides both affordable and up to the minute beauty products on my trips into the city. Let's have a look some great new cremes and treatments from derma e that you can find on your next trip to the red bullseye! #NOTICETHELOTUS at Target in 2016... derma e has arrived!

Lakur Enhanced Colour by Londontown Swatches and Review

Lately I have been in a serious bold-finish mood, and I was excited when I got down to testing four vibrant colors from Lakur Enhanced Colour by Londontown! My package also included their Kur: Protective Top Coat and Kur: Instant Smudge Fix. These are prestige, boutique products, priced at $16 for nail lacquer, $14 for Instant Smudge Fix, and $25 for top coat. Since the prices are higher than most nail products I use, I really wanted to give them a thorough wear testing to see if the performance was there - check out my results after the break!

Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic Review

I have a beauty product to share with you today - Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic. As I am getting older I have had more and more interest in skin care. While my skin looks fairly good for my age, it is very thin and prone to extreme dryness and irritation, so skin care and moisturizing are absolute musts if I want to avoid painful, bleeding winter skin. I was really impressed with this product and would like to share the results of my testing with you!

The Polished Hippy's 2015 Favorites Part 1

Whew! It's been quite a year - the first full year I have had my own blogging website as opposed to Flickr, Facebook, Instagram, etc. It has been a great adventure - I've learned SO much, which was the goal, and made many new friends who share this hobby. I am always impressed with how much people are willing to help and support each other in this community and I would like to thank all of the readers who take their precious time to read this blog, the people who make the gorgeous polish I feature, and my beloved fellow bloggers who keep this fun and interesting. I am deeply grateful for you all! I have a couple of mondo posts with a selection of my 2015 favorites. This is by no means comprehensive - there were so many more polishes I loved but decided to focus on the ones that I already had photographed and reviewed. Some of these pre-date 2015, obviously, but they were things I wore this past year and enjoyed. Let's get started after the break!
