Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic Review

I have a beauty product to share with you today - Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic. As I am getting older I have had more and more interest in skin care. While my skin looks fairly good for my age, it is very thin and prone to extreme dryness and irritation, so skin care and moisturizing are absolute musts if I want to avoid painful, bleeding winter skin. I was really impressed with this product and would like to share the results of my testing with you!

I'll begin with the packaging - the pads come in a small jar contained in an outer box with basic information about the product, the origins of the brand, and ingredients. I am someone who always reads packaging because I like to know what to expect and also what is in a product, particularly if I am applying it to my face. Ingredients of note in this product for me are Vitamin C, Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate), Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs), Vitamin E, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, and Grapefruit Peel Oil.

Based on that list, before even trying the product, I expected it to be moisture rich, but perhaps a bit tingly. That ended up being accurate, perhaps due to the presence of Vitamin A and PHAs, which increase skin cell turnover, and glycerin, a very effective humectant for my skin. If you are allergic to citrus, I would be cautious, due to the Grapefruit Peel Oil. Likewise, if you are sensitive, Propylene Glycol can be an irritant for some, but it did not affect me in my testing.

The jar is fitted with a reusable plastic seal that keeps in the moisture - this is great so the pads do not dry out before you get a chance to use them all. Due to the nature of this product I recommend using it up fairly quickly after opening.

The watery liquid saturating the pads had a light cucumber melon and eucalyptus scent that dispersed quickly. Each pad was highly saturated and I had enough to put a thick layer on my face plus touch up my hands and elbows with the extra - you would definitely have enough for your neck and chest if you chose to treat those areas as well.

There is a slight tingling and cooling sensation after application - it is not at all painful or unpleasant and lasts until the liquid dries. The treatment is a bit sticky until it dries down after a half hour. Resist the urge to wipe it off because this is how the product works its magic! After that time all the stickiness goes away and the skin is extremely moist and plumped, but not at all greasy, much like after you step out of the shower. I chose to use the pads at night, and when I woke up in the morning my skin had a glow to it. This was particularly remarkable because I have a cold at the moment - normally when I am stick, my skin is extra dry. However, I have no flakes at all right now, which is virtually never the case when I use regular cream. I would say if you use it a night as I did, you would probably not need an additional cream product.

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by the product. I had no previous experience with this sort of moisturizing/anti-aging tonic and did not expect it to moisturize as well as a cream, but I was definitely wrong! It would be a solid choice for winter skincare for someone with dry skin.

The product is priced at $45 for 36 pads, but is currently on sale for $33!
