Essie Concrete Glitters Collection Swatches and Review

Essie recently released a new set of textured polishes called the Concrete Glitters Collection. These polishes are enhanced with interesting bronze glitter flecks and a shimmery finish. They are called "crushed glitters" by the brand and are the first in this texture from Essie! Each is priced at $9. Let's have a closer look!

First of all, formula notes, since they are similar. These apply pretty evenly and dry fairly quickly to the touch, but need a bit of time to set so they don't slide across the nail if you start doing normal things with your hands or before you start playing with them - I certainly get tempted to rub at the surface of textures. I got normal wear from them and they don't seem prone to getting shinier as you wear them. Each covers in two coats, except for the white, in this collection, where I used three.

Essie Stay Up Slate 1535 is a slate gray-blue textured polish with bronze and blue shimmer flecks. Two coats.

Essie Venture to the Venue 1539 is a white textured polish with rainbow iridescent glitters and shimmer and gold and bronze shimmer. Three coats. I feel like this polish is perfect for creating snow in nail art!

Essie City Slicker 1537 is a deep plum textured polish with navy blue and magenta shimmer. Two coats, but one coat might do. This is a highly pigmented polish so I recommend careful polishing to keep it off skin.

Essie Night Owl 1538 is a teal green textured polish with gold shimmer. Two coats, but one is enough. This is highly pigmented, so I recommend keeping it off skin. I did have a little staining with this one, but it was gone in a day.

The Essie Concrete Glitters Collection was a nice take on the finish with the extra shimmer sparkles to add depth and interest. The texture is nice and strong and doesn't shine up with wear, which is nice. Do you have a favorite here? City Slicker is definitely mine!
