Ever After Polish Valerie Collection

I have a very special set of polishes to show you today. These were made by Ever After Polish in tribute to Valerie Haines, who passed away on April 24, leaving behind her five beautiful children. Valerie was an adoptive mother who also fostered many children and selflessly cared for those with medical needs. These polishes are a fundraiser to help the Haines family with ongoing medical care and the expenses of her final arrangements. You can read Valerie's obituary here and learn more about this special woman. Have a look at the polishes after the break...

Footprints in the Sand features the tiniest gold holo microglitters, green hex glitter, and magenta and blue shred glitter in a shimmery camel-colored base. I wore this on its own in four thin coats, but it could also be used as a layering polish. The gold holo sparks really bring to mind a beach at dusk.

PHighting referenced the Pulmonary Hypertension that Valerie's daughter Laycee fights. This one has blue-to-magenta duochrome microflakes in a periwinkle-gray base, worn here in three thin coats. This one is thicker than average for the brand but dries nice and smooth, quickly, with no tendency toward bubbles at all. It would work for most people in one-to-two coats. I love the interaction between the flakies and the base - depending on the light it looks, blue, purple, or gray. So complex!

Viva la Valerie is a festive combo of red and blue glitter, gold and violet/magenta duochrome microflakes, and scattered holographic shimmer. It is shown here with four thin coats on its own, but would also work as a topper. Very easy going with no problems getting the glitter on the nail.

These polishes will be available at 8AM EDT on Friday, April 24 through midnight Sunday and the are priced at $10 each. If you like any of these please consider putting your polish dollars toward a good cause to help Valerie's children while picking up some awesome new polishes. Hope you see something you might want to add to your collection!
