Ever After Polish Spring Back to the Future Collection stamping

I thought I would try out some nail art with the Ever After Polish Spring Back to the Future Collection so here is some stamping and lead lighting! Check it out after the break...

Here is Ever After Hoverboard stamped with one of my new Emily de Molly plates - EDM06. I love how detailed this plate is! This is really the first stamping I have done that I tried photographing and I was so pleased with how it turned out. I used the Creative Stamper and Celestial Cosmetics Denim stamping polish. I am really sad that this line of stamping polishes is being discontinued but you can still pick them up for a clearance price of AUD$7. This is a steal!

Next, I decided to take advantage of the natural jelly-like quality of the neons by trying out some lead lighting. This is my first time using the technique and in retrospect I should have used some art brushes rather than the brush in the mini bottles, but oh well! I was still really happy to wear this for a day. The base is Ever After Polish Plutonium, with highlights in 10/21/2015, Great Scott, Hoverboard, and McFly. The plate I used was Emily de Molly EDM03 and the stamping polish was Celestial Cosmetics Pitch. I wanted to get an eighties vibe and I think the plate was perfect for that.

While I did freehand abstract nail art in the 1980s when I was young, I stopped and hadn't done it again until recently. Back then stamping didn't exist, or at least I was not aware of it, so this is all new to me. The Creative Stamper has been a life saver as I had been really frustrated with getting the images to pick up well with the other stampers I tried and this one is just sticky enough to do the job well. I can't wait to try more!
