It's that time of year again! It's always a fun, but challenging, endeavor to pick my yearly favorites of polishes featured on the blog. As usual, there were so many awesome things and it was hard to chose. Nevertheless, I managed and am excited to present three posts of my 2016 featured polish favorites. These will be presented in alphabetical order - click on the title of the polish to read the original post if you like. Let's get started!
*variou polishes sent by the maker for review and purchased*
2-Bit Polish Wet Cement has that amazing smoky speckled look I love, along with a dash of holo. Altogether spectacular! *sent by the maker*
6 Harts Rocks of Ages is another polish that perfectly channels the stone look - this polish was part of a duo inspired by Montana and indeed is made to look like rock! *sent by the maker*
Aliquid Lacquer Canal Couture has the lovely, soft shimmery flakes that the brand does so well. The contrast between the base pastel and blue flakes is amazing. *sent by the maker*
Anonymous Lacquer Ms. Ivy League has an unexpected dash of brilliant red holo sparks that makes it unique in my polish collection. Not only that, but it has a great formula and is amazingly smooth for a microglitter. *sent by the maker*
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Green's Alexandrite with Me was a polish I had the privilege of creating with Julie! She was such a good sport about buying new materials just to make it happen. She captured the green-purple shift and sparkle of the stone perfectly! *sent by the maker*
Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Classy As Fuck was created by Emily with me in mind, and not only did it make me chuckle, but it nailed my love of shimmery, glowing reds! *purchased*
CDB Lacquer Cosmic Escape is a gorgeous deep blue jelly base with flashes of shimmer and glitter. Sadly, Cheyenne closed her brand this year, but she certainly went out on a strong note! *sent by the maker*
It was hard to pick my favorite from Celestial Cosmetics! I went with the recent polish Dear Santa, I Can Explain for its perfect formula and gorgeous green shift. Nicki always does this kind of polish so well. *sent by the maker*
Cupcake Polish Barbie Girl highlights the glowing metallic holo finish that Sara executes perfectly. This one makes my nails look airbrushed! *sent by the maker*
Different Dimension StarGazer combines the holo microglitter finish that has been so popular this year with flashes of neon matte glitter in a variety of shapes. This polish wins points for versatility, working as both a full-coverage glitter and a topper. *sent by the maker*
Dollish Polish I Never Mint to Eat the Whole Cake! pairs black glitters with a creamy green pastel base. The formula is stunning, with no bumpy bits in spite of the glitter. *sent by the maker*
Ever After Polish Love Locks Bridge is another gray that stole my heart. It matches Rachel's mastery of flake finishes with a gorgeous glow-from-within shimmer. Stunning! *sent by the maker*
Fair Maiden Polish ♥ X 3 has that glowing red jelly look I die for! The mix of holo glitters and shimmer won my heart! *sent by the maker*
GelMoment Ladybug Rouge is a one-step gel polish with the squishy, ultra-shiny finish that gel makes so special. The fact it is a red I love is an extra bonus! *sent by the distributor*
This wraps up the first third of my 2016 favorites - stay tuned for more soon. See any you also have or fell in love with this year?
