Awesome Sauce Indie Box Life in Plastic Swatches and Review

The Awesome Sauce Indie Box is back and this month it is called Life in Plastic, a tribute to Barbie. This comes with five polishes by Anonymous Lacquer, Cupcake Polish, Ever After Polish, Lavish Polish, and Vapid Lacquer, with vinyls by Lou It Yourself and additional beauty products by Anonymous Lacquer and Ever After Polish.  I have the mini set ($30) to show you. Let's have a look!

Anonymous Lacquer Bridezilla has pink and blue shimmer in a white base, shown here in three thin coats, which I needed because of my pigmented nail beds. The shimmers are much more apparent and sparkly in person - the white base covered them in photos, but the definitely show well. The formula on this was a bit chalky and dry, so there was streaking at first and it is not inclined to self-level - it dries matte. However, once I applied top coat everything was fine.

Cupcake Polish Barbie Girl is a metallic, shimmery brilliant rose linear holo. This is a stunner with a great formula! It is shown here in three thin coats, though fewer would do.

Ever After Polish Malibu Barbie features magenta and turquoise microflakes and a splash of holo in a celadon jelly base, shown here in four very thin coats. I love this one - it has a liquidy, squishy quality, like jade. Perfect, quick-drying formula.

Lavish Polish Let's Go Party is a brilliant lavender holo with gold and copper holographic microglitter. It has a good formula and a tiny bit of texture, but smooths out with top coat. Shown here in three thin coats, but two would do.

Vapid Lacquer Demolition Barbie has holographic and blue/pink duochrome microflakes in a black base, shown here in three thin coats (two are enough). This has a bit of texture, but smooths out fairly well with top coat. Nice gothic shade!

Now for the add ons! Anonymous Lacquer Lotion Bar in Pearberry. It has a soft, fruity scent and absorbs quickly. The container in the mini set is a bit small to use as real lotion bar, but is fine for cuticles and hands.

Ever After Malibu Mud Exfoliating Face Mask Scrub has a sugary berry scent and a spongy texture. It is a mega-exfoliator! When I tried it, dead skin peeled off immediately. It is fairly aggressive, with plentiful fine-texture grit, so you want to go easy with it. It is not at all drying and my skin felt super soft and smooth after use.

Lavish Polish also supplied a set of large nail jewels in gold and silver, as well as some of the smaller foil-type ones in the same colors.

Lou It Yourself included some neon glittery Barbie-head vinyls. My camera could not capture the color on these - they are super-bright!

I tried using the vinyls as both a decal and as stencils, with Anonymous Lacquer Bridezilla as the base and Cupcake Polish Barbie Girl, Lavish Polish Let's Go Party, and Ever After Polish Malibu Barbie as a sponged on gradient.

Next, I used Lavish Polish Let's Go Party as a base with the nail jewels. I have tiny fingers, and these large jewels were too big for me to use as a full mani, but the foil ones fit nicely on my nails.

That wraps up the new Life in Plastic Awesome Sauce Box! This is available now in full size for $50 and mini size for $30. I showed you the mini set in these pictures. The pre-order runs through April 1 at 10PM CDT, so you can order at your leisure, which I love! Any favorites from this one?
