On Thursday, July 7 at 3:30 PM EDT, 6 Harts and Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer are releasing the newest Destination Duo, based on a photo Courtney, the maker of 6 Harts, took in her home state of Montana at Lolo Pass. I can't wait to show you these lovely shades of nature!

Courtney's image of Lolo Pass, Montana has beautifully varied tones of gray and green, with a flash of golden sunlight piercing the tree cover.
6 Harts Rocks of Ages is a cool, medium gray with silver and charcoal microflakes and a variety of multichrome flakes in smaller sizes. It is shown here in two thin coats and it has a beautiful, smooth, quick-drying formula. It picks up on the mottled gray surface of the bolders.
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Pining for the Pass is a moss green jelly with red-to-gold duochrome shimmer, gold flakes, and clear holo microglitter. It was pretty much opaque in two coats, but I tried layering it to four to see what would happen. Since it is a jelly, this make the gold flakes more prominent. It spreads easily and dries with only a very slight texture, easily smoothed with top coat. It does require a little scrubbing for removal due to the larger flakes, but it is not at all like a glitter bomb. This polish draws on the color of the trees and the sunlight filtering through them.
The Duo also comes with a packet of glitter in complementing colors you can use to dazzle up your mani. The glitter is not meant to be added to polish, only to be added to your nails after they are polished.
I dabbled some clear polish on one of my nails and dipped it into the bag to get this sparkling accent nail.
The Destination Duo: Lolo Pass, Montana launches on Thursday, July 6 at 3:30PM EDT in both the 6 Harts and Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer shops. I am totally in love with both of these polishes as I am a huge fan of complex grays and greens.
