Polish Pickup is back for August 2019 with an At the Carnival Theme, beginning August 2 at 10AM EDT through August 5 at 11:59PM EDT. The Polish Pickup is a Facebook group and pop-up shop that offers monthly pre-orders of indie polish made to themes voted on by members of the group. I am starting off my coverage of the releases with Anchor & Heart Lacquer's polish and 5-free Deep Nutrition Base Coat.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer has recently release a collection of nail essentials, including top coats and base coats. For Polish Pickup this month, she has created a special version of the Anchor & Heart Lacquer Mermaid Tears 5-Free Deep Nutrition Base Coat with a Root Beer scent! This base coat can be worn on its own with a slightly milky finish in one coat, or to jelly-like near opacity in three to four coats. It also functions as a ridge filler and nail treatment. It is slower drying than most base coats, so I recommend thin coats. This is due to the treatment oils in the formula. The Root Beer scent is nicely balanced - present but not overpowering.
Mermaid Tears is a deep nutrition treatment, which can be worn as a base coat or on it's own as a rehab treatment for brittle or weak nails. The moisturizing formula contains a smoothing complex that seals down Keratin cells, plus amino acids to help stimulate the formation of new Keratin cells while the weak sections grow out. Available for August Polish Pickup in a delicious traditional root beer scent. It's just like the real thing: refreshing, sweet, and just a little tangy!

Notes: This is 5-free, cruelty free, and vegan product with a phthalate free fragrance. Please note that dry time is slightly slower than a typical base coat due to its hydrating oils. Please allow amply dry time when wearing in multiple coats

Anchor & Heart Lacquer Nouveau Cirque is a soft azure jelly with teal-to-green duochrome aurora shimmer, holo microflakes, and four kinds of iridescent multichrome microflakes. I wore it in three thin coats and it had a nice, quick-drying formula. It is inspired by contemporary circus acts like Cirque de Soleil
