Essie Desert Mirage Collection Swatches and Review Part 1

Essie has launched the Desert Mirage Collection this winter, channeling the hazy beauty of shimmering desert light. There are six shades in the collection and I have the first three to share with you today. Essie is one of my go-to brands for just the right shades of basics, and this collection doesn't let me down!

Essie Lighten the Mood 072 is a pale pastel blush pink. It is a bit streaky on the first coat, but smooths out on the second. This polish self-levels and dries shiny. I wore it with three thin coats, but two are enough for most people. It dries medium-quick.

Essie Less Is Aura 660 is a light terracotta beige, worn here in two thin coats. This has great coverage, a medium fast dry time, self-levels, and dries shiny. This polish would make a nice nude color on medium red-toned complexions.

Essie Let It Glow 220 is a terracotta pink with pink-to-gold duochrome shimmer. I love seeing a mainstream brand do a shifting shimmer polish! This beautifully channels the mirage inspiration and is just so soft and lovely - I can practically feel the warm sun looking at this color. I wore this in three thin coats, but two might do. It dries quickly and a bit satin like. I wore it with top coat.

I really like the inspiration and the classic shades in this collection. Of course, Let It Glow is a huge highlight for me. I will be back soon with three more colors from the Mirage Collection, the vampier half! Do you have one you love?
