Lorelei Lacquer The Legend of Flakies Collection Swatches and Review

Lorelei Lacquer is releasing The Legend of Flakies Collection on September 1 at 12:01 CDT and if you like flake polishes and the Legend of Zelda, you might consider being there! This is a quartet of polishes inspired by the game. Let's check them out after the break...

First of all, how cute is the packaging? They are little bombs!

Heart Container refers to where your lives are kept during the game. It is a lavender rose linear holo with red shred glitter. The base color and formula is gorgeous, but the glitters have a tendency to stick up. It is opaque in two to three thin coats.

Hero of the Day pays tribute to Link. It is a light avocado green jelly with green shimmer and copper-to-purple multichrome flakes, opaque in three to four thin coats to allow the flakes to show through. The formula on this is spectacular! It is smooth, dries quickly, and wears well.

Hey! Listen! is Navi, and is portrayed with iridescent shred glitter, blue and magenta holographic hexes, magenta/blue duochrome microflakes, and blue and gold microflakes in a light gray jelly base. It is shown here in three thin coats. I adore color combo and the microshimmer! The shred glitter again sticks up a bit and is not very noticeable color-wise in the mix.

Zelda's Lullaby is of course my favorite in the collection - it is pure perfection! It is a lavender linear holo pink-to-gold multichrome flakes and pink and blue shimmer for depth. I wore it in three thin coats, but fewer would do. If you could only pick one color from the collection, this would be the one to grab!

The collection launches on September 1 at 12:01AM CDT and will be available as a set at $40 along with some amazing, custom Vinyl It Up vinyls that you can see on Naked Without Polish's review, as well as free shipping. Otherwise Heart Container and Zelda's Lullaby are priced at $10 and Hero of the Day and Hey! Listen! at $9. What do you guys think? Any Legend of Zelda fans here?
