In a couple short days, Polish Con Minneapolis will be upon us! On Saturday, September 15 from Noon to 6PM CDT at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott you will be able to meet your favorite makers and fellow polish fans and shop some awesome deals. In case you didn't know (where have you been hiding?), Minnesota is home to a healthy cadre of talented and experienced indie polish makers and four of them have teamed up for the Minnesota Nice Collaboration. And, I too, am a native Minnesotan, though I now live in South Dakota (boo, hiss). How could we not get a little Minnesota humor involved, ya know?

Darling Diva Polish Skol! is named for the Minnesota Vikings cheer. It is a plumb jelly with blue-to-magenta shimmer and holo shimmer and microflakes. I wore it in three thin coats and it had a perfect, quick-drying formula.
Fair Maiden Polish Hotdish pays tribute to the ubiquitous Minnesota casserole church and potluck food. It is a gray blue jelly with magenta-to-gold duochrome shimmer, holo shimmer, and multichrome iridescent flakes. The shift on this is really strong and unique - it is really a pastel mega-shifter! I wore it in three thin coats and it dried quickly. It needs top coat to smooth because it has flakes.
Leesha's Lacquer Land of 10,000 described the alleged 10,000 lakes of Minnesota, though I think technically there are more. It is an aquamarine with gold and holo shimmer. I wore it in three thin coats and it had a nice formula. It is nice and reflective.
Northern Star Polish Uff Da recalls the Scandinavian-accented vocal tic of an overwhelmed Minnesotan! This is a beautiful burgundy with gold shimmer and indigo-to-magenta duochrome microflakes. It is pretty and sophisticated with a perfect formula that covers in one or two thin coats.
The Minnesota Nice Collaboration will be available as a set for $32 plus a charm bracelets at the Polish Con booths of Darling Diva Polish, Fair Maiden Polish, and Leesha's Lacquer. Even better, if you won't be able to make it, Polish Con is helping us out with a "Polish Fairy" service to have someone shop for you. Find that in the Polish Con Facebook group. Ya wouldn't want to miss out, would ya? That would be a shame, for sure!
