Bluebird Lacquer Dark Matter and Matte Effects Topper Collection Swatches and Review Part 1

Bluebird Lacquer is going matte in a big way! The Matte Effects Topper Collection just launched with a variety duochrome flake finishes that also double as amazing polishes on their own. And there is the first of a series of great, opaque matte bases. I have tons of pics so I've split the post in two - let's get started!

Dark Matter is a matte black polish that covers in a single coat. It dries nice and quickly so it will be fantastic for nail art. It does show flaws in the nail bed - I have some damage from not soaking gel long enough - so a ridge filler would be good for those circumstances. 

Dropping Hints has terracotta brown flakes that shine with a turquoise-to-magenta duochrome shift, along with iridescent multichrome flakes. I am showing it here in four thin coats on its own. All of these work beautifully as subtle neutrals.

Nudge Nudge has pink-to-gold duochrome microflakes, shown here in four coats on its own. This would make a lovely French mani shade.
