Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Foux du Fafa Collection Swatches and Review

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer is re-releasing the Foux du Fafa Collection on May 31 at 3:30PM EDT in limited numbers. This is a set of lovely, super-opaque cremes that are designed to both stamp and watermarble. Talk about a bonus! The set is inspired by Flight of the Conchords. Check them out after the break...

First, general formula notes. These are intense! I wore all of them two thin coats, but one would be enough for most people. They super-opaque polishes, so take care not to flood the cuticle! They do not always100 percent self-level due to the density but level out perfectly to a glassy-smooth finish with top coat (they are satin on their own). I've found that normal with opaque cremes. I only chose to thin one, We're Vincible, but Julie told me that the production polishes were less thick than the blogger samples, so you should not have to thin it unless you prefer to.  They all dry super-fast, so if you are looking for something you can put on and be finished with your mani in less than 10 minutes, these will be perfect!

Freaky Dream is an indigo-black creme.

We're Vincible is a mustard creme. I really loved this one as it looked great on my warm skin tone and perfectly matched one of my favorite t-shirts!

Here I stamped Rent Boy over Lily of My Dreams using the Born Pretty Store BP-L-003 plate and my Creative Shop Stamper. It worked like a champ!

I also tried a couple sample watermarbles. Forgive my sad on the first one, I forgot to use a nail-art-safe top coat >.< but it looked perfect before I coated it. These are shown with no undies at all, just a single layer of watermarbling over a bare nail! That is practically unheard of, but since they are so opaque they can also do a one-coat watermarble. The only downside is that they do not spread as easily as thinner polishes so you may have to shake or rotate the cup a bit, or you could thin them a tad before marbling. But not having to apply a base layer makes it super-simple to do and you can always remove a nail and restart immediately if you mess up.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's Foux du Fafa Collection will be available May 31 at 3:30PM EDT for a small restock. I highly recommend these for quick, opaque manis and nail art. Personally, these deep, vampy cremes are my favorites so this collection was a huge hit with me. See any you like?
