Awesome Sauce Indie 1 Year Anniversary Party Swatches and Review

It's hard to believe, but the Awesome Sauce Indie Box is now one year old! This edition is the 1 Year Anniversary Party with CAKE! Woot! This time there are six polishes and three extras, a cupcake soap, wax melt, and key chain made from the polishes in the box. Let's have a look!

Anonymous Lacquer Got Cake! is a scattered holo with light amethyst foil base. This is shown here in three thin coats, and it could also be used as a topper in one thin coat. Great formula!

Dollish Polish I Never Mint to Eat the Whole Cake! has black microglitters and microflakes in a pale mint jelly base, shown here in four thin coats. This is lovely, and dries perfectly smooth and shiny. How wonderful considering it has glitter!

Ever After Polish Frost Yourself has scattered holo, pink, aqua, and purple microflakes in a putty base, shown here in three thin coats. Ever After's neutrals never fail to turn my crank. This one is gorgeous and has a great formula.

Lavish Polish Cake in Your Face has pink and lavender holo and microglitter as well as pale pink microflakes in a thermal base that is pale pink when warm, fuchsia when cool. Since it was sweltering when I photographed it, it showed mostly the warm state. It dries matte and has some texture due to the glitter, but is shown here in four thin coats with top coat.

Lou It Yourself Like a Fat Kid has gold, pink, and light blue microflakes in an aquamarine base, shown here in two thin coats. This is very pigmented and a bit streaky on the first coat, but evens out perfectly on the second. Avoid flooding your cuticles with any pigmented creme like this!

Nvr Enuff Polish Raspberry Dreams has scattered holo and raspberry microflakes and holographic glitter in a raspberry jelly base. In spite of the high glitter content, this dries pretty smooth and spreads evenly. I used three thin coats here, but fewer would do.

Next, we have the extras! I am missing one, the Ever After Polish Lemon Pound Cake Soap, but it is adorable (shaped like a cupcake) and you can see it in the shop listing  here. The other items are Anonymous Lacquer Cutie Balm  in a lavender/vanilla scent, Lou It Yourself Tater Tart in Caked Up, a wax melt reminiscent of cookies, cake, and pie crust, and The Holo Pineapple keychain with a celebration theme using polishes from the box. How cute and well thought out!

As usual, I am showing you the mini version of the box, which sells for $45 this time. The full sized version is $65. I'd say you are definitely getting your money's worth with all that is included! The box is available now until June 3. Think you might pick this up?
