Awesome Sauce Indie Box You're Invited to the Mash! Swatches and Review

Hey hey, the Awesome Sauce Indie Box is back! This time it is Halloween-themed and entitled You're Invited to the Mash! I am reviewing the mini version of the set (with one exception) so you can see what those look like. I love having a cheaper option with so many boxes out there. Let's check it out...

Check out the cute tissue in this one! It also comes with cards from all the makers! The regular contributors to the box are Anonymous Lacquer, Ever After Polish, Lavish Polish, and Vapid Lacquer. This month's guest contributor is Supernatural Lacquer. I was thrilled with that choice!

Anonymous Lacquer I Want to Drink Your Blood has holographic shards and a mix of indigo iridescent, red, and black glitter in a candy apple red jelly base. I am wearing it with three thin coats, but two would do. Beautiful formula.

Next we have one of the body products in the box, Bath Dust from Ever After Body. This can be used in the bath or as a mani soak. It has a soft, fruity scent with a touch of spice. It fixes a bit on contact with water but it dissolves faster than a mani bomb. It was nicely moisturizing. I does have a variety of microglitter in it and I had to wash and scrub my hands a couple times after soaking to get the glitter off. Though the glitter was pretty it would have been more practical without it. Check out the video of it fizzing!

Ever After Polish Witchin has got to be one of the best shades from the brand! It has a French violet base with aqua green microflakes and green-to-red duochrome shimmer. It is rare for a contrast shimmer to be so vibrant in all light conditions. I have to say it even looked a bit ghostly! I am wearing it here with three thin coats but two would do. Great formula.

Lavish Polish Must Eat Brains has red glitter and tiny gold microglitter in a neutral light beige nude base. It is shown here with three thin coats, but two is enough. It spreads nicely and dries quickly. I am about NC15 and I would say it is fairly close to my skin tone to it will read as a nude on pale neutral and warm skin tones.

Supernatural Lacquer Pumpkin Head is a pumpkin orange jelly linear holo with gunmetal flakes. It is shown here in three thin coats. I loved this one and it is so shiny it didn't need top coat. This is a jelly, so it needs to be layered or can also be used over other colors as I show below.

Supernatural Lacquer also supplied a Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub. This one smelled totally edible! It was also super-moisturizing and the scent and moisture lingered well after being rinsed off.

Vapid Lacquer Headless Horseman has a black base with navy blue shimmer and bronze-to-green multichrome flakes. It is shown in three thin coats, though two thicker ones would do. Typical excellent formula for the brand. A full size polish snuck into my mini set for some reason but if you buy a mini package you will get a 5ml bottle.

As a bonus you will also get some Halloween-themed nail vinyls from Lou It Yourself. This includes some spider webs, bats, flying witches and pumpkin faces. I tried a witch and a spider web as stencils with some of the polishes from the box. It was challenging to get all of the little bits out of the spider web and I had to pick at it for a while with a tweezer. The vinyl still adhered well in spite of my fussing and I pulled them off with tweezers after applying two coats each of Ever After Polish Witchin and Supernatural Lacquer Pumpkin Head over Vapid Lacquer Headless Horseman.

The box is available now and is priced at $50 for full size polishes and $30 for mini polishes. Either way, with the bonus products it is a fantastic deal! Hope you loved this festive Halloween box.
