Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Model City Polish Destination Duo

The inspiration for this duo was a photo taken by Model City's creator, Nina, at the Grand Canyon. The polishes pick up the color scheme beautifully in their shimmer sparks! The duo also comes with 16 gold and 14 silver studs from Pueen Cosmetics as a bonus. All of this costs only $20 including shipping domestically and with prorated international shipping from either shop.

The Pueen Cosmetics studs are quite small but can be applied using a tweezer. Just drop them where you like on a layer of tacky polish or top coat then follow up with another layer of top coat if you want them to stay around. I was also able to take mine off and clean them for another day. The baggie shot below was taken after I had already worn some in a mani.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Time and a River is inspired by the poem Glen Canyon Dam by Wilfred A. Elders. It features gold, bronze, copper, and blue shimmer flecks in a sage green base. The consistency and flow was good and it covered in two to three thin coats depending on your polishing style. It did not completely self level but was smoothed out with top coat.

Model City Polish Bucket List has gold, red-brown, green, and blue shimmer flecks, along with a hint of holo shimmer, in sandy beige base. This also covered in two to three thin coats and had a beautiful consistency.

I love the idea of two makers collaborating on a project like this and the fact the polishes go so incredibly well together makes it even better. Both polishes are soft, soothing shades, but sparkle like mad in bright light. I think I've bought every single Destination Duo released and have never been disappointed. Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Model City Polish are brands that I have purchased for at least two years now and I am excited to see them work together!
