Turtle Tootsie Polishes Emergency Services Collection, part 1

Hello everyone, I have a new brand to show you today, Turtle Tootsie Polishes. Check out the adorable mascot on the logo - I love it as I used to have pet turtles as a child! The debut collection is a tribute to emergency services workers, as Chrissy, the maker, has worked as a dispatcher. The Emergency Services Collection features ten polishes and I have the first half right here after the break...

First, overall formula notes: every one of these flowed smoothly and dried quickly. For the shimmers, I recommend letting every coat dry before moving on to the next one as I noticed a slight tendency toward bubbling when I polished on a really hot day, but did not have that experience using the polishes on a cooler day.

Badge Bunny features pink microglitter in a China pink shimmer/frost base with blue highlights. I wore it with four thin coats  but three would do - it has the right sheerness to allow the glitters to show through. This would look particularly lovely on cool pale skin tones, I think.

Coffee & Chocolate is one of my favorites from the collection! This is a luscious dark brown shimmer that appears to flash a variety of colors up close. I wore this in two thin coats. Polishes like this remind me how much I love earth tones.

Drama Drama Drama is a lavender shimmer/frost with pink-to-pale-gold duochrome highlights and scattered holo. This is such a delicate, pretty polish, worn here in four thin coats, though fewer would work as well.

EMT is an electric blue shimmer/frost, shown in four thin coats, though two to three is fine. This one is really bright and I liked it as a layering polish under the glitter topper Psych that I will show you in my next post.

Hemorrhage has got to be my favorite in the collection! It is a glowing maroon scattered holo jelly, worn here in three thin coats.

This is such an adorable way to pay tribute to the folks who help us out when we are in need and deal with plenty of human shenanigans along the way. You can get each of these for $5 for 6ml minis or $8 for 12ml full sizes. The entire 10 piece collection is priced at $45 for minis and $75 for full size. I'll be back soon with the other five polishes from this collection!
