Spell Polish A Charm of Powerful Trouble Collection, part 2

It's time for another dose of Shakespearean polish with four more colors from A Charm of Powerful Trouble, a collection by Spell Polish. (You can read the first half of my review here) This was my first time trying out the brand's matte polishes and boy, was I impressed!  Check them out after the break...

Owlet's Wing is an intense, silvery scattered holo with iridescent glitters. This would work as both a topper or on its own, which was how I wore it here in four thin coats. Great formula, pretty smooth, too.

Toe of Frog is a magical thing; a matte olive-green/teal duochrome with tiny blue flakies in it. It was truly amazing. My nails looked airbrushed. Not only that, but it held up really well without chipping in the days I wore it. It stayed matte, too, without wearing shiny. The formula was self-leveling, which is perfection in a matte because you don't have top coat to even it out for you. This was three thin coats, but probably two would be enough.

Here it is with topcoat as well:

Tongue of Dog (I have a strong urge to call it Tongue of Doge, lol) is an amethyst shimmer polish with blue highlights. This had a few brushstrokes, but they were more apparent in photos than on the nail. This is worn with three thin coats. Good, quick-dry formula.

Wool of Bat has a similar formula to Toe of Frog but is even more opaque - one to two thin coats will do it. This has purple shimmer flecks in a black matte base. Wonderful and self-leveling. It is definitely darker-looking on the nail than in the bottle, especially in its matte state.

Top coat definitely helps the shimmer jump out:

I may have liked this set even better than the first batch, which I reviewed here. Each polish is priced at $17. I bought the full collection and a special limited edition collector's box, now sold out that you can see in my first review.

Spell Polish is an upstate New York brand that offers a range of stunning multichromes, smooth mattes, and interesting finishes with beautiful packaging and graphic design.
