Wildflower Lacquer Classics Collection and Slug Bug 2.0

Wildflower Lacquer Aretha is a cadmium yellow jelly with copper-gold-green multichrome crystal iridescent flakes. I wore it in four thin coats and it dried quickly. It needs top coat for smoothness and shine.

Wildflower Lacquer Audrey is a claret jelly with holo microflakes. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. Fewer coats will appear pinker and more coats deeper and redder. It has a nice, quick dry time.

Finally, I have Wildflower Lacquer Slug Bug 2.0. This is a re-release of a small batch polish. It is an antique ruby with intense red-gold duochrome shimmer. I wore it in three thin coats, but one or two will cover. This color is seriously intense! It will stain dry skin, so I recommend careful polishing. It also will very likely leave a noticeable stain on your nails. I wore it for a couple days with regular base, and had a marked red tint to my nail bed for several days later, but the stain was not permanent. For me, these intense glowy shades are worth the staining because these pigments are the only ones that get this exact effect.  If staining bothers you, pass on this one, but if it doesn't and you love the ultimate glow-from-within polishes, I highly recommend it.

Now for live swatches!

The April pre-order is open through noon CDT, April 22. Be sure to check out the shop if you have your eye on any of these, because the brand has switched to doing mostly pre-orders, so there is no guaranteed any of them will be available again. My faves this month are Slug Bug 2.0, Marilyn, and Audrey, because red is my jam!
