Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Chiisai Collection Swatches and Review

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer has a new collection coming up for pre-order, comprised of four pastel holos with holo microflakes and a bonus creme. It is called the Chiisai Collection and is inspired by kawaii themes and styles. Four holos can be purchased individually for $15 or as a set of four for $55. The creme is $12. The polishes can be purchased in the brand's Facebook group, The Octosquad.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Chibi is a pistachio jelly with holo shimmer and microflakes. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. You can do any number of coats and it is non-streaky, so you can layer as sheer or opaque as you want. Nice, quick dry time.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Doki Doki is a lilac jelly with holo shimmer and microflakes. The formula and properties are similar to Chibi, and can be layered as sheer or opaque as you like.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Kirei is a cool, pale pink creme. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. It was a bit streaky on the first coat, but evens out with subsequent coats. Nice, fast dry time.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Sugoi is a plum jelly with holo shimmer and microflakes. Again, I wore this in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. It is non-streaky and can be layered nicely. 

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Waifu is a turquoise jelly with holo shimmer and microflakes. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. This is also non-streaky and layers nicely. It dries quickly.

Each of these has a plush, jelly-looking finish and wears beautifully. One thing I really love about these (besides the layer-ability) is that the holo microflakes ensures these have plenty of holos sparkle, even as pastels, which often dull holo. These are really beautifully executed and I love the inspiration!  You will be able to order these in the brand's facebook group,  The Octosquad. Do you have one you love?
