Colores de Carol Romantique 2.0 Collection Swatches and Review

Colores de Carol recently re-launched the Romantique Collection (originally released in 2017) in a revamped Romantique 2.0 Collection for 2020! This is a set of eight nude/neutral toned polishes with subtle holo sparkle and shimmer. I love having the option of quiet colors with a fancy finish. Let's check them out!

First of all, formula notes, since these were all similar. They have a medium-fast dry time and a very slight amount of texture from the super-fine holo microglitters. They are all shown here in three thin coats with top coat, but two coats will cover for most people. The consistency is even and easy. Overall, the colors look largely the same as the original release. For reference, I have a MAC NC15 / Nars Gobi, pale skin tone with yellow pigment undertones and translucent skin that shows redness. My lighting is pure white daylight 5200K bulbs.

Colores de Carol Au Naturel is a pink beige with silver, pink, and holo shimmer and silver holo microglitter.

Colores de Carol's Romantique 2.0 Collection is available now at a price of $80 for all eight,  or $11.50 each. I love that there are neutrals for a variety of skin colors and undertones - you can pick any or all that match your needs! The neat little sprinkles of colored shimmer also made them stand out as neutrals with a kick. I liked all of them on me and appreciate the chance to have indie neutrals as I never tire of shades like this, especially for pedicures. Hint - if you want to save 15% on these, join the group Colores de Carol and Friends on Facebook and search the term "code" in the search box for a special group-only code that doesn't expire! Do you have a favorite? How do you feel about nude / neutral polishes?
