Polish Pickup is about to come back for a new theme, this time Great Works of Art! The shop opens Friday, April 5 at 11AM EDT and the pre-order runs through 11:59 PM EDT on Monday, April 8. The Polish Pickup is a Facebook group and pop-up shop that offers monthly pre-orders of indie polish made to themes voted on by members of the group. This post is devoted to Great Lakes Lacquer's contribution, which was inspired by art by Alicia of Leesha's Lacquer!

Great Lakes Lacquer On His Shell, He Holds the Earth is a blue-teal (cool) to cornflower blue (warm) thermal with blue-to-purple duochrome microflakes and iridescent magenta-to-green multichrome flakes. I wore it in three thin coats and it had a nice, fast-drying formula. The shift is a bit subtle and on the day I wore it, it was pretty warm in my house to it was hard to capture the deepest blue. My last shot shows my two hands with the two different colors (sorry for the short nails on my left hand). I would say the oblique shot (fourth photo) also captures more of the dark color.
Price: $13
No cap on sales.

I have a bunch of great polishes to show you for the Great Works of Art theme, so stay tuned! I love the idea of polish makers inspiring one another and Alicia's art is gorgeous! Great Lakes Lacquer's contribution is a lovely blue that will have you constantly checking your hands for the flash of the flakes.
