Gelish and Morgan Taylor Matadora Collection Swatches and Review Part 2

I'm back with the second half of my joint review of the Gelish and Morgan Taylor Matadora Collection compliments of Preen.me. The two brands will release collections in companion gel polish and regular nail polish shades. This provides options for whichever formula and wear the customer prefers but it is worth noting that the effects can be somewhat different depending on which product you chose. I used the Gelish colors with a peel-off base coat and Gelish Top It Off Top Coat and the Morgan Taylor colors with Morgan Taylor Stick with It Base Coat and Need for Speed Top Coat (both fantastic!) If you missed it, Part 1 is here. Let's have a look!

Gelish 1110270 All Tango'd Up is a wine jelly gel polish. I wore it in two coats and it had a squishy, translucent quality. Because this is a darker shade, take care to use very thin coats and cure thoroughly.

Morgan Taylor 3110270 All Tango'd Up is a wine creme regular polish. This covers in one or two thin coats, has a great formula, and is more opaque than its gel counterpart.

Gelish 1110271 Danced and Sang-ria is a plum black creme gel polish. This is shown in two coats - due to the dark color, use very thin coats and be sure to cure well.

Gelish 1110272 Ole My Way is a midnight blue shimmer gel polish. I love how shimmer finishes have a glow to them in gel formula! This covers in two coats.

That wraps up the straight swatches of the Gelish and Morgan Taylor Matadora Collection. It was fun to try these colors in both gel and regular polish form. Gel always has a bit more of a plump, shiny finish that hides ridges. It's nice to have both options. If you missed the first half of my review, Part 1 is here. Do you have a favorite for either color or formula?
