I've got some nail art looks to share with you using the Essie core collection polishes that I reviewed here and here. These were sent to me as part of the Preen.me VIP program and I wanted to see how they would perform for various nail art techniques.

In my package, I also received Essie Gel Setter, which is a plump, gel-like top coat. It did not seem to affect nail art and was nice and squishy looking. The down side is that it is not a quick-dry top coat, so if you are in a hurry you might pick a different one.
The first look used Essie Between the Seats and Tribal Text-Styles for a simple Art Deco-inspired French mani. I used a V-shaped nail vinyl as a template.
Then I tried stamping with Essie Really Red and Bahama Mama over Lilacism using the Uber Chic 15-02 plate, which has a background and floral detail images. The polishes picked up easily, though may not have been quite as opaque as true stamping polishes.
I then tried simple, random dots of Essie Between the Seats over Without a Stitch. I was able to get through almost a whole nail before refreshing the dot of polish I worked from.
For the grande finale, I tried water marbling with Essie Topless & Barefoot, Cascade Cool, Really Red, and Bahama Mama. The polishes spread easily and the medium dry times enabled me to have plenty of time to make a pattern without the polish drying on the water.
I hope you enjoyed these nail art selections using Essie core colors! It was fun to experiment with them for different uses. Do you have a mani that you like best from these?
