Floral Stamping with Supernatural Lacquer, Powder Perfect Stamping Polishes, and Born Pretty Store BPL-029

I've wanted to try more nail art this year, and stamping has definitely been on my to-do list. I hoard stamping plates and polish, but rarely give them the workout they deserve. Recently, when I photographed Supernatural Lacquer Moon of My Life, I thought it would make a lovely base for some floral stamping. I chose the Born Pretty Store BPL-029 plate and Powder Perfect stamping polishes to get my art on. Let's have a look!

Supernatural Lacquer Moon of My Life is a shade I reviewed yesterday that releases on Friday. I decided to try it as a base for double stamping - using two stamping polishes together to get a more complex image. I picked out Born Pretty Store BPL-029 as the plate to use because it had a reversed image of the flower I put on my ring finger. I stamped originally with Powder Perfect Golden Stamping Polish then layered Powder Perfect Black Stamping Polish over it using my Moyou London Crystal Clear Stamper.

Here I used the same image on the plate twice, once with each color.

This time I paired the positive and negative images stamped on the plate for a far-faster technique for getting an opaque look than reverse stamping or stamping decals, which is what I usually do.

I would consider myself an intermediate stamper. I can get most things to work, but they may not be perfect and I have to chose the right stamper. In this case, I would say other than a few bald spots, it was pretty successful. The Moyou London Crystal Clear Stamper comes with lids and a protective cardboard tube and picks up images fairly easily using a rolling motion. It is not quite as forgiving as my Creative Stamper but does well and is also nice and large. The Powder Perfect Stamping Polishes are easy going and super-opaque. I can't wait to experiment more with my stamping collection! How are you with stamping? Have you tried double stamping yet? What about a clear stamper?
