Bluebird Lacquer Singles Awareness Day Set Swatches and Review

Lou It Yourself is about to re-launch as Bluebird Lacquer on Friday, January 27, at 3PM MST with the Singles Awareness Day Set. Lou is known for her tongue-in-cheek humour, and the not-so-subtle theme here is cat ladies! Woot! The full set includes two shimmer polishes, a mini-size matte flake top coat preview, a bath bomb, cuticle balm, and a wax melt. Let's have a look!

The set comes with the new vintage-inspired graphics in a cute XOXO cloth bag.

A Kitten Is a Wish Your Heart Makes is an amaranth shimmer that is opaque in two thin coats. Gorgeous, quick-drying formula and no streaking.

Whisker Kisses is the matte top coat preview, and it has multichrome flakes and cool pink to magenta duochrome microflakes. It is worn here in four thin coats on its own. It self-levels and dries quickly.

You Look Meowvelous is black with deep plum shimmer, opaque in two thin coats. Great formula! Both of the shimmers do stamp.

I also tried a nail art look using Whisker Kisses over You Look Meowvelous. The holo stamping polish on my middle finger is Hit the Bottle Honolulu Blue and I used Born Pretty Store plate BP-61 for all the images. The stamping polish on my matte nails is Powder Perfect Black Stamping Polish.

Bluebird Lacquer No More Uglicles Cuticle Balm is a hydrating, non-greasy balm in the scent Sweet Tarts. I love the scent and it is not at all overwhelming - it smells like the candy!

Bluebird Lacquer Zero Thirst Bath Bomb is scented in Snug Life, a sweet combo of blackberries and sage. It is generously sized with a light pink tint.

The Bluebird Lacquer Singles Awareness Day Set will be available on Friday, January 27, at 3PM MST. The whole package can be had for $25 shipped or you can pick the extras with one polish for $13.60 shipped. The items will also be available separately. I really love Lou's shimmer polishes - they are nicely pigmented, dry quickly, and have smooth formulas. I am eagerly awaiting more of the matte top coats, as this one is spectacular on its own and over other polishes. Lou already makes my go-to matte top coat. Hope you love what you see here! Are you going to be giving your kitties extra smooches on Singles Awareness Day for the sake of keeping things ironic? I'm sure they would love to help you inspect your box of goodies, regardless!
