Exuviance Retexturing Treatment Review

Exuviance Retexturing Treatment is designed to remedy rough skin texture on arms and legs. Its active ingredient is 10% glycolic acid to increase cell turnover along with moisturizers to soften and prevent irritation. Let's have a look!

Exuviance Retexturing Treatment

Exuviance's Retexturing Treatment, in addition to targeting rough, dry skin, is also effective for keratosis pilaris, which is a condition where hairs do not push through the skin effectively, and instead form bumps of hardened skin. The product helps the skin shed and the hair emerge normally.

Let's have a look at what the brand had to say:

Banish dry, flaky, rough skin on arms and legs with a little help from Exuviance Retexturing Treatment. This 10% Glycolic Acid/PHA formulation increases cell turnover, banishes dry, flaky skin and reveals a new, smooth, radiant texture while also providing antiaging benefits to restore healthy elasticity and address fine textural lines. PHA/Bionic Blend, Vitamin E, and Shea Butter help moisturize and strengthen skin barrier for greater protection

The active ingredient, glycolic acid, is high up on the ingredients list. Potentially this could cause irritation for some users, but there are also some strong, soothing moisturizers like shea butter and vitamin E.

How did it do?
I received a sample container which lasted me a little over a week as I used it after showers on my arms and legs. I have some ingrown hairs around my knees and this seemed to help a bit. Overall, the product made my skin very smooth and even with the high concentration of glycolic acid, I experienced no irritation. As this is a body product with strong active ingredients, I did not test it on my face. The cream is lightly scented and the fragrance is pleasant and dissipates quickly.
Exuviance Retexturing Treatment
The product is offered at $42 for 6 oz - the consumer bottle is larger than what I show here and comes with a flip top. This cream is not cheap so I could see reserving it for spots with the roughest skin, like elbows, knees, feet, and areas with keratosis pilaris, like the back of the arms or legs. It can be hard to get rid of KP, which not only results in texture but discoloration issues for some people - this might be a really good product to try if that is a significant cosmetic concern.
