I've been testing another skin care product and am excited to share my results with you! This time, I tried Exuviance Glycolic Expert Moisturizer for a couple of weeks. Let's have a closer look!

Exuviance Glycolic Expert Moisturizer is intended to moisturize while also exfoliating, smoothing wrinkles and firming, and refining skin texture. It is an alpha-hydroxy-acid-type product that works by increasing turnover of skin cells.
Let's see what the brand had to say:
• Glycolic Acid and Collagen Building Block smooth texture and help firm lines and wrinkles
• Exfoliates and lightly hydrates every day to dramatically improve the overall appearance of skin, revealing a smooth, fresh radiance
• Recommended for normal / combination skin
• Exfoliates and lightly hydrates every day to dramatically improve the overall appearance of skin, revealing a smooth, fresh radiance

As you can see from the ingredient list below, the active component, glycolic acid 10%, is the second highest listed ingredient besides water. Other ingredients of note include Vitamin E, Chamomile flower extract, aloe extract, and several other floral extracts.
As noted in the instructions, the product will increase sun sensitivity, so sunscreen and sun avoidance are recommended.
The product comes in a 1.7 oz. pump bottle, which keeps the product free of contamination. The pump is easy to control and only a small amount of product is needed.
The moisturizer is fragrance-free and light-feeling, though it is a powerful moisturizer. It is white in color and absorbs quickly with no residue.
So how did it do? I'm not going to lie - the first week was rough! This was somewhat expected for me as I have a strong reaction to alpha hydroxy acids and haven't tolerated retinol prescription anti-acne cremes well before. At first I had more than average peeling and increased acne, though no redness. By the second week things started to change. My skin was completely flake-free and fine lines were reduced. Also, the acne had mostly subsided. So my advice with this or any AHA product is to stick with it! It takes time for the skin to adjust and for the positive effects to show. Normally even in summer my skin is a peeling, flaky mess, so I was so happy to finally have flake-free skin! I would recommend this to anyone who is concerned with flaky, dull skin with fine lines. For those of you with sensitive skin, I would advise caution and to give it at least a week to see it you can tolerate it. Also, reducing the frequency of application might help. I put it on nightly for two weeks in order to test it, but as a regular consumer I might have only done every other night.
The Exuviance Glycolic Expert Moisturizer is available for $45 for 1.7 oz. and I would say a bottle will last many months, you don't need much. Have you tried an AHA-type product? How have they worked with your skin?
