Today's beauty post features Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask and True Glow Eye Cream. I was eager to try out some more products to relieve my dry winter skin and I have, believe it or not, never used a face mask before! Check out what happened after the break...

The Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask is designed to provide a massive influx of moisture to the skin. That is sure what I have needed lately! Here is some information from the brand about this product:

The mask comes in a screw-top jar, and it is pumpkin orange and jelly-like in texture.
So how did it do? The instructions suggest leaving it on for 15-20 minutes, avoiding the eye area, then rinsing. It says that a tingling feeling is normal. I tried it a mask, as suggested and indeed felt a cooling, tingling sensation, but nothing irritating. It has an herbal scent that dissipates as it dries and the product absorbs quickly. I could feel it on my skin, but almost felt like a didn't need to rinse it off. The first time I used it, I ran a wet washcloth over my skin and my complexion was smoothed and plumped. I also tried it as a regular night cream, leaving it on, and I think I preferred that even more! The ingredients are very mild and hydrating, so in a thinner layer there is no need to rinse it off. I loved this product and will keep using it this winter. A little goes a long way, so I'm sure it will last me. Next I have the True Glow Eye Cream. It is meant to reduce wrinkles, hydrate, and tighten the eye area. Let's have a look at some info from the brand:

Notable ingredients are aloe vera juice, hyaluronic acid (a hydrator and plumper), safflower seed oil, sunflower seed oil, glycerin, and olive oil. Overall the ingredients are extremely mild and natural. The product comes in a dark brown glass bottle with a pump, and it has a peach tone that blends out with application.
And how was it? This cream was very rich and moisturizing - I noticed that my dryness and wrinkles became less apparent after application. It also has a lovely orange sherbet scent that does not linger. I had no adverse effects like milia (white dots) or irritation in the week I tested it. I can't speak much to the de-puffing qualities as my eye bags are pretty much resistant to any non-surgical options, but I was pleased with how it moisturized. I also tried this as a full facial cream and was very satisfied in how it performed in that role as well, particularly for the dry winter months. It costs $25 for 1.18 oz. on Amazon and is eligible for free shipping also.
I feel like these are a great deal for the price and was especially pleased with the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask, which surprised me as I had never used that type of product before. Together, they make a fantastic pairing for an evening beauty routine to moisturize and recharge your skin.
