Bee's Knees Lacquer A Court of Thorns and Roses 2.0 Collection Swatches and Review

Today I have a collection to share that is a personal purchase and sadly no longer available, but hey, pretty pictures! The Bee's Knees Lacquer A Court of Thorns and Roses 2.0 Collection was originally offered in mystery bags in December 2021 and then later as overpour. I managed to get all of them. I would love to share more personal purchases, but sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, especially when many brands have blanketed coverage with PR. There is a dramatic reduction in traffic for indie polish posts made after release when something has already appeared in a million places already before release. So if I do post personal purchases it is going to be for things where it is hard to find swatches and they were not sent to swatchers before release, or at least to relatively few. It takes a huge amount of time to make a post like this, at least 40 hours of work (painting, photographing, filming, editing pictures, IG reel editing, blog writing, Youtube editing), in addition to the money I spent, and I'd rather read books or write articles for my day job than do that if no one cares, haha. [Insert Cartman "I do what I want" gif here] If there are particular things you are interested in, do let me know, and I can see if I have time to fit it in if I have the polishes. There has really been a shift since I first got into nail posting online 12 years ago. What little is left has trained viewers to think of it primarily as advertising (and worse yet often paid advertising which you will never see here - this blog is not monetized and never will be - I don't work as a paid employee for brands and disregard paid posts as a purchaser myself), but there it is... Okay, enough of my old lady grumblings. I hope if you wanted these you managed to get them and can use these pics to pin to your collections or if not you can find them in the secondary market.

First of all formula notes, since these are similar. Generally Bee's Knees Lacquer has a formula that dries quickly and wears really well for me. This is one of the main reasons I have continued to collect the polishes over the years. There is a good, reliable formula that will make my manis quick to complete, especially when I travel. 

Bee's Knees Lacquer A Better Strength 2.0 is a cotton candy pink jelly with sparse holo microflakes and a mix of multichrome iridescent flakes with predominantly pink-gold-green shifts. I wore it in four thin coats and it had a bit of visible nail line remaining. It would also work as a topper.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Band of Exiles 2.0 is a gray-based jelly with red-green multichrome iridescent flakes and silvered lilac-to-green multichrome magnetic pigment. I wore it in four thin coats magnetized and three unmagnetized but fewer will cover. This also has a foiled effect when not magnetized. I love that magnetic polishes like this give you a two-for-one option.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Dreams That Are Answered 2.0 is a white jelly with turquoise-blue-indigo multichrome iridescent shimmer and a mix of multichrome iridescent flakes. I wore it in four thin coats and it had a tiny bit of visible nail line. This one was particularly popular when I posted live swatches on IG reels. 

Bee's Knees Lacquer High Lady of the Night Court 2.0 is an amethyst jelly with holo microflakes and aqua-blue-indigo multichrome iridescent flakes. I wore it in four thin coats, but fewer will cover.

Bee's Knees Lacquer I'll Find You in the Next World 2.0 is a brown-black jelly with red-orange-gold-green multichrome iridescent shimmer and holo microflakes. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will cover.

Bee's Knees Lacquer I've Been Looking for You 2.0 is a cobalt blue jelly with holo microflakes and aqua-blue-indigo multichrome iridescent flakes. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will cover. This one will stain dry skin, but not the nails themselves. The base is very pigmented, so it mainly comes across as a blue with holo microflakes and the shift on the iridescent flakes is less obvious.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Mittengard Wyrm 2.0 is a copper linear holo with pink-gold-green multichrome iridescent microflake shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. Ah, a brilliant, metallic linear holo! I've been missing those lately and this was a gorgeous one. 

Bee's Knees Lacquer She Would Not Go Gently 2.0 is a deep burgundy brown jelly with red-green multichrome iridescent flakes and silvered pink-to-green multichrome magnetic pigment. I wore it in four thin coats magnetized and three unmagnetized but fewer will cover. This polish is one of the most metallic foils I have ever seen when unmagnetized - just stunning!

Bee's Knees Lacquer Weaver of the Woods 2.0 is a pea-soup-green jelly with a variety of green and blue multichrome and duochrome iridescent flakes. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Whisper of Darkness 2.0 is a black jelly with blue-purple duochrome shimmer with holo microflakes and a variety of multichrome iridescent flakes. I wore it in three thin coats.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these polishes, even if they have come and gone. I'd really like to feature polishes that aren't necessarily available anymore just for the pleasure of it, and not feel so guilty or depressed about the mag-a-log aspect of blogging anymore. Sometimes I think I am just an old lady waving my cane thinking this, but then I remember, I actually am firmly middle aged and have been posting nail stuff for over a decade now.
