Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Buddy Trio Swatches and Review

Dave of Octopus Party Nail Lacquer recently lost his best friend, his pup Buddy, and made a trio to celebrate their years together. One of the shades was limited to nine bottles and already sold out, but two are up for pre-order through August 28 in the Facebook group The Octosquad. Let's check them out!

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Buffalo was the limited shade that sold out. It is an amber jelly with gold flecks, gold holo microglitter, and holo shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats. It didn't have texture even with the glitter and dried quickly. 

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Diurnal is a light periwinkle jelly with pink-gold-green multichrome iridescent shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover, and it had a great, quick-drying formula. It was inspired by a beautiful sunset in the parking lot of the store where Buddy's food came from. Obviously it was a favorite place of his as a result! It matches the color of the sky, with fluffy pink clouds.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Promessa is a queen blue jelly with fuchsia-orange-gold multichrome iridescent shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover, and it had a great formula and quick dry time. I love the blue-gray softness of the base, and the pop of bright contrast shimmer on this polish.

Buffalo is sold out, but you can still pick up Diurnal and Promessa in the Facebook group The Octosquad through August 28. A lot of people I know have lost pets recently and it is so hard. It is lovely when polish makers use their talent and creativity to honor the special bond between people and their animals.
