Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Spring 2016 Collection Part 2 Swatches and Review

On Octopus Party Nail Lacquer has just released two new shades for his Spring 2016 Collection, along with a massive restock of earlier polishes, all up for pre-order until Sunday May 1, at 3PM EDT. Let's check them out!

Matcha Maker is a matcha green tea shimmer with pumpkin orange microflakes. I wore it in four very thin coats, but two to three would cover fine. This is not brushstrokey, but is a slow on the dry time, so I recommend drying drops and/or quick dry top coat. Also thin coats would be best, as it was slightly prone to bubbling with my really warm hands.

You Got the Zest of Me is a pumpkin orange scattered holo with gold-to-green duochrome translucent flakes. See what Dave did here? The two new shades have flakes from the base shade of the other color - how cool is that? Formula was great, if a little slow on the dry time.

Another thing? On a gig I discovered that this one matches my 18th century German viola. Always color coordinate your gear, yo.

I like that Dave did a couple off-the-beaten path colors. These definitely have a seventies vibe which I love. Also, they were quite flattering on my warm skin tone for such complex shades.
