It's time for another Polish Pickup! This shopping concept crowd sources inspiration from the Polish Pickup Pack and each month indie polish makers take the inspiration and run with it. Here's what Julie had to say about this polish and its inspiration:
Handsomest Boys is based off of the show Ouran High School Host Club. More specifically, the base color is inspired by the periwinkle of Tamaki Suoh’s eyes. The shimmers are based off of the blue of the boys’ school uniforms, the yellow of the girls’ school uniforms, the pink of the Host Club’s room, and the gold for the wealth of the students that attend Ouran Academy. Handsomest Boys is a purple-leaning periwinkle semi-sheer shimmer with ultra-fine red/pink shimmer, fine red/pink, gold, and blue shimmers, and blue and gold microflakies. Note, it does go on a bit sheer, but it builds to full opacity in two to three coats.
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Handsomest Boys is shown here in three thin coats. It had a great formula and dried quickly. The shimmer is complex and has a duochrome quality. Gorgeous!
Handsomest Boys is available from the Polish Pickup from November 3 at 11AM EDT to November 6. I'm gonna be poor this month, what about you all?
