Seventy-Seven Nail Lacquer new releases

Oooh, purple! At least that's what I said when I opened the package, haha. Seventy-Seven Nail Lacquer is a new-to-me brand and I just had the chance to try out her new releases for this month. Check them out after the break...

Purple No. 77 is s sheer lavender jelly holo with tiny sparks of blue and aqua shimmer. I wore it with four thin coats and it was super-shiny and easy to control. It would work fantastically as a tinted holo top coat or for lead lighting. It will require at least three coats for full coverage. The price on this is a steal compared to many holos, at only $6.50 for a full-sized bottle. This is limited edition so pick it up soon if it strikes your fancy.

Smashed is a topper (worn here alone with four coats) that contains multichrome microglitter as welle as a variety of cream, aqua, purple, and white hex glitters. The formula on this really surprised me. It has to be one of the best glitter toppers I have worn in terms of ease of use. It was not at all thick, the glitters came out extremely easily, it was easy to control and it dried almost smooth even without top coat. Yup, you heard that right! Even in four layers, even with larger glitters, it was amazingly smooth. Also it dried in a flash. If glitter polishes normally frustrate you, this one is worth a try. This is also limited edition and costs $6.50 for a full size.

Finally I wore both colors together - this is two coats of Smashed over my day-old Purple No. 77 mani. They definitely looks great together!

What can I say? You can't go wrong with purple! I am impressed that you can pick up both of these polishes for not much more than the cost of a single bottle from many indie brands. Not only that, but they work beautifully together, for the win!
