Fair Maiden Polish Baby, It's Cold Outside! Holiday 2014 Collection (partial)

Fair Maiden Polish.... what can I say? I'm in love! So many of us, including my polish maker buddies, are excited about what Adrienne and Sarah are producing. Today I have three of the four polishes from the Baby, It's Cold Outside! Holiday 2014 Collection for your enjoyment, plus some coupon codes at the bottom of the post, so keep an eye out after the break....

Merry Plum Berry and Bright has already established itself as a favorite among fans of the brand. It is a really wearable berry purple holo with added gold shimmer. Perfect formula and I'm wearing it here with three thin coats.

Sleight Bells in the Snow is a trickster shade, with holo shimmer and duochrome blue-to-pink microflakies. It really does evoke a magical winter evening with fresh snow. I have quite pigmented nail beds, so I wore this with four thin coats, but it could also be layered over a white or off white.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas was the total surprise in the collection for me, and my absolute favorite. It has looked like a nice, but rather pedestrian blue shimmer in the blogger shots I had seen before it arrived. But man, it is NOT straight blue, so don't let those pics fool you - the true appearance is a majestic, deep VIOLET! Camera sensors frequently have trouble rendering rich blues, purples, and indigos, and it took some hardcore, specialized tweaking to bring this baby to life in true color. It is pure genius and reminds me of my high-end polishes, back when the only way you could get the very best complex shimmers was to drop $25-30 on a Chanel, Dior, or other designer color. This one has a violet shimmer in a dark blue-gray jelly base, and little bits of the shimmer appear almost pink for amazing depth and complexity. I have been a huge fan of glowing, vampy shimmers for years, so this was my bag! Absolutely perfect. I am wearing it here with four thin coats and recommend a quick-dry top coat or drying drops. This polish is proof to me that now indies can pretty much do anything mainstream makers can do.

There is one more shade in this collection that I didn't buy, The Stars Are Shining Brightly, which is a gold shimmer and glitter polish and you can see that at Polished Pathology

Until the 30th, you can use code PH20 for 20% off. Right now there still might be a few left of the limited edition mystery polish with a $25 purchase plus a free mini. On Cyber Monday, there will be a code for 25% off!

P.S. There is now a new fan group for the brand on Facebook, so check out the links below!
