Marbles For Polish flakie collection

Shannon at Marbles For Polish has just released a seven-polish collection of dense micro-flakie polishes! They all had really easy formulas and dried quickly. The finish is on the sheer side, but can be layered to opacity. Alternately, they can layered over other polishes or each other to achieve different effects. I'm a big fan of things that can be worn multiple ways!  More pictures after the jump...

Ooh La Lacquer swatches

Ooh La Lacquer is a brand I have been collecting since 2012.  Some of the swatches here are of oldies but most are still available. Can't say enough good things about the formula or finish of this line. Also, the fact that she does the matte microglitters and holos that I love ensure that I will keep coming back for more. Bear Pawlish swatches

Bear Pawlish is one of the most amazing brands I have tried - Tennessee, the maker, keeps coming up with such amazing ideas, and I am way behind on photographing them, but I'll share the six that I have done so far! More pictures after the jump...

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics swatches

I've been wearing lots and lots of Carpe Noctem Cosmetics polishes lately, but as I'm working my way through older pics I thought I would share a few I wore at the beginning of the year, the first ones I photographed! More pictures after the jump...

Seven & Parker swatches

Seven & Parker makes my kind of poison, in case you can't tell.  Well, holos!  Quite a few of hers also have a bit of microglitter added in.  Here I will show you a mashup of things I wore in 2013! More pictures after the jump...

Dainty Digits Polish swatches

I first learned about Dainty Digits Polish on Instagram and liked her vibrant holo colors. She has a really nice quick-drying formula and fantastic prices. Highly recommended! Many of her holo polishes have astronomical themes, which is awesome. Check out a these six colors! More pictures after the jump...

Dead Set Babes neon holos!

Dead Set Babes released a set of neon holos last summer, way before the current trend for them kicked off. It was my first purchase from the brand and I love them. The good news is that they are going to be re-released for a limited time in the near future! More pictures after the jump...

Too Fancy Lacquer swatches

One day in a Facebook nail group I asked whether anyone had decided to make their own polish after struggling to catch a popular indie in a restock. Charlene piped up and said she had! I had spotted her polishes on etsy and had just not placed an order yet, but decided I wanted them all. It has been a blast watching her brand grow and develop and I still buy them all when I can! Here are some pictures of Too Fancy Lacquer polishes both newer and older. More pictures after the jump...

Glittering Elements swatches

Next up in my survey of older swatches are a few from another of my favorite brands, Glittering Elements.  I discovered GE on one of my many searches through etsy for holographic nail polish and placed my first order directly from Australia. Casey, the maker, has since become a friend, and I find her humor as delightful as her talent with color.  Let's check 'em out! More pictures after the jump...

Nailnation 3000 swatches

Nailnation 3000 has been one of my favorite brands for a long time.  Here are some shots of colors that I wore in 2013 and early 2014.  It's spam time! More pictures after the jump...

What Is This?

Well, I guess it's time to start with a real blog, not just my usual randomness on Flickr and Facebook.  I originally got started in early 2012 out of the love of seeing swatch pics of hard-to-find polishes.  That lead me to Flickr and its delightful possibility of assembling a massive reference collection of pictures.

Then Facebook lured me in with the chance to share a few more shots of each polish, but I am frustrated by its clumsiness as a reference and its hunger for eating posts.  Let's give this a try.

How about in the spirit of old times, a little assemblage of indies I put together for my Indie Polish group on Flickr?  Oh 2012 and your glitters, how far you have come!
